This is a classic case of Pacific-Airlift to the rescue! The customer was facing heavy late penalty charges, due to the delayed manufacture of their petrochemical equipment, compounded by the sailing time of 12 days from Singapore to South Korea.

As the ship was on its way from Italy with the 90-tonne petrochemical equipment, the customer consulted us on the possibility of loading it onto the AN-124 to deliver it to South Korea within 48 hours.

We confirmed the loadability of cargo and aircraft availability, diverted the ship to Singapore, offloaded the cargo from the ship and transferred it to the airport to be loaded onto the AN-124. With such fast and decisive work, we cut the transit time from 12 days to 48 hours and saved our customer a substantial amount of late delivery penalty fees!
